Landscapes of work

Work

  1. Net32.com

    Marketing Director

    2023 → Present

    San Francisco, CA

    • Marketing-mix modeling
    • Attribution
    • Lifecycle
    • ETL
    • Team leadership

Directing marketing for a dental-supply marketplace. I was a key contributor to the venture-capital due diligence behind the investment in and acquisition of Net32, and I now lead a fast-growing team plus multiple agencies.

    • Built the org’s first marketing-mix model and an ETL pipeline across 10+ ad-publisher sources, with impression, click, and multi-touch attribution via Funnel.io and GA4, and Fivetran and Snowflake into Sigma.
    • Grew lifecycle LTV +20% QoQ for six months, rebuilding the program on Klaviyo and Attentive SMS and preparing for a customer data platform.
    • Ran brand-lift campaigns across Criteo, Facebook, and YouTube, lifting share of voice +22% in six months, measured by survey.
    • Launched an email agency, SMS, Criteo display, MNTN CTV video, and server-side Google Tag Manager, and optimized a 50,000-product catalog across Google and Facebook.
    • Built an agile kanban priority system and migrated project tooling from Monday.com to Jira; led the analytics-engineering RFP for DOMO dashboards.
  2. Redbubble.com

    Marketing Director

    2016 → 2023

    San Francisco, CA

    • Search & feed
    • Shopping / PLA
    • ML bidding
    • Google Marketing Platform
    • IPO scale

Seven years, progressing from Marketing Performance Manager to Senior Marketing Manager to Marketing Director. I helped scale the marketplace toward its ASX public listing and, as Director, led Search and Feed Marketing for a global two-sided market.

    • As Director, led Search and Feed Marketing, a data scientist, two managers, and a coordinator, driving campaigns responsible for roughly 40% of the marketplace’s daily gross transaction value.
    • Launched analytics tracking 80% of sellable products, more than 5 billion, via server and client Google Tag Manager.
    • Drove 37% marketing-contract savings, more than $500K a year, by consolidating the Google Marketing Platform and Productsup across Redbubble and TeePublic.
    • As Senior Manager, grew the team +100% and in-housed agency channels while running dynamic product ads across Criteo, GDN, and Yahoo at 3B+ SKU scale.
    • As Performance Manager, moved the channel from fully agency-run to hybrid in-house at +20% YoY revenue, co-built an ML bidding and product-scorecard program with a doctoral data scientist, and scaled shopping feeds +2,000% to tens of millions of products.
  3. Macys.com

A soft watch, on schedule

Twenty years in performance marketing, since 2005

I lead growth marketing and the technology underneath it. That means the paid media that brings customers in, the lifecycle programs that keep them, and the data plumbing that tells you which of it actually worked. I have run search budgets at Macy’s, scaled shopping feeds at Redbubble through its path to a public listing, and now direct marketing at Net32.

The work is equal parts strategy and wiring. I build the marketing-mix models and attribution that make spend legible, I lead teams and agencies, and I stay close enough to the tools to know when a number is wrong. I studied computer science engineering, and it shows in how I run a marketing org.

Currently Alongside Net32, I am co-building Emergent Solutions, a fractional CTO and CFO consultancy with an open-source-first go-to-market stack. emergentsolution.com
